Within the last two weeks, we have had three birds fly into our windows and commit suicide. :( Two have slammed themselves into our back windows in our kitchen and one slammed himself into our front door.
What is going on with this?? We have lived in this house for over four years now and I don't remember this ever happening before and now it happens three times in less than a month!
I read online that birds can see the trees reflecting in the glass and they think they can keep flying.
Let me tell you what happens here at our house. A bird flies at the window at full speed, we hear a huge "THUNK", the dog goes crazy wild, and then lastly I see a dead bird on the patio. It's not too much fun!
And then I let it sit there until Matt comes home to dispose of the body. Today, Megan wanted me to shut the shades in the kitchen so she didn't have to look at the bird on the patio all day.
Not too smart, birds!!
