Today we learned all about pollination, but decided to leave our craft until tomorrow. As we were exploring a website, it said that "1 out of every 3 bites you took today is here because of pollination." Megan and Courtney both had this odd look on their face and of course the homeschooling mom in me said, "Let's see if that's true!"
We talked about what we had for breakfast and figured if it was here because of pollination. We figured that Coutrtey would've had nothing for breakfast, Megan would've been able to eat an egg and some butter (but only if the cows didn't eat grass), and I would've had nothing too. Too bad for us! (You can tell how much we eat that comes from plants, especially since Courtney and I can't have dairy.)
This website also said that animals and plants need each other to exist. (I never thought about this before either!!) Plants cannot live without animals and animals cannot live without plants. What an amazing God we have!!!
